The Dreamer, The Believer is the fruits of his labor after the experiment, and true to the pattern he has established for himself, it is indeed a gem.Its good to see your favorite artists grow and mature musically over the years, but its even better when they know how to go back to the sound that got you interested in them in the first place. With this album, its clear that the Yeezy effect is just an option.. and this album is my classic already... the underrated rapper has shown his true skill with this album, and this is officially my favorite release of the year... This is a CLASSIC in the making. I bought it first thing this morning, placed it in the CD player in the car and didn't skip a single song. I'm not a huge fan of The Believer (track 11) and Pop's Belief (Track 12), but the first 10 songs are great, the music is conscious, the beats are ridiculous and the CD is better than 90% of what's out there today. It makes my Top 5 for 2011, just in time for Christmas. |
