Easily this one has the best name.This sampler is labeled with the Genre 'Rock' by Amazon and Windows Media Player who insert the Genre after you download. None of it is Hard Rock some is great Rock. Track 1 The Black Angels sounding brilliantly mid 60's including a great early Beatles vibe. Great track called Telephone. It sounds like an old song if it's new it is even better. Next up Charles Bradley sounding equally 60's this time an excellent R'n'B song called The World (Is Going Up In Flames). Great backing singers and band, brilliant song. WIN WIN play Releaserpm (Feat. Lizzie Bougatsos). Definitely not 60's. Electronic beat spacey female vocals over dance floor staple. Very pleasant. Track 4 is Braids playing Lemonade. Based on some of the other reviews I almost took a pass on this one, but I'm glad I came back to give it a listen. Overall the album has a very retro, indie feel to it with a nice mix of genres. I don't know that I heard anything new, per se, but what I heard is a refreshing break from the radio (that I don't listen any longer). As I've gotten older my exploration for "new music" has taken me back in time. So if you like new takes on older musical ideas then you'll really like this sampler. I also have to give a shout out to Ivan and Alyosha because I really like their contribution.
